Consort Fantasies

William Lawes & John Jenkins

PROGRAM
DETAILS
Hathor Consort, Romina Lischka direction

On paper, William Lawes and John Jenkins seemed like oil and water. While the first asserted himself as the iconoclast of the 17th century consort repertoire, the second remained a traditionalist all his life. Yet, the duo shares a gift for lyricism and an unfailing sense of tonal organisation. A double portrait by Romina Lischka and the Hathor Consort.
