Dante's Troubadours

The art of listening

PROGRAM
DETAILS
Sollazzo Ensemble, Anna Danilevskaia direction

In La Divina Commedia, a number of troubadours pass before our eyes. While not all these medieval “Orphei” eventually made it to heaven, they obviously were in Dante’s good books. The promising young talents of the Sollazzo Ensemble explore the impact of the Occitan troubadour repertoire on Dante and the Trecento madrigal.
