First MA Academy
MA Festival invites a group of young musicians to Bruges for workshops and rehearsals with some experienced musicians. At the end of the week, the musicians play a concert together at MA Festival.

First edition of VéloBaroque
During the VéloBaroque musical bike tour, you can enjoy adventurous concerts at unique locations. MA Festival plans a route of about thirty kilometers through the Bruges Ommeland. Along the way, we stop five times. for a 30-minute concert.

First MA Competition for Harpsichord
After a first competition with a focus on organ players, there was a first competition for other instruments.
1964
First real edition of the festival and MA Competition for Organ
The very first edition of MA Competition was one for organ and the rest of the festival was also an organ edition with no less than 5 solo recitals on the big organ in the Saint Salvator Church.
1963
The Organ Days
In 1963, the first project was realized: a mini-festival with three organ concerts.
