Purcell & Keith Jarrett

The Cairn Consort – a new ensemble led by gambist Salomé Gasselin – present a daring encounter between the music of Keith Jarrett and that of Henry Purcell. The viola da gamba consort’s four string players merge their sounds with Kevin Seddiki’s electric guitar and zarb. Jarrett’s improvisations and Purcell’s fantasies thus give birth to a new universe. A splendid conclusion to ten days of magnificent music.
