Sowing & Reaping
Nel Maertens transforms Bruges' City Halls into a springtime scene, by hand-strewing a mixture of pigment and wheat flour. She draws her inspiration for this from the history of Bruges. She is fascinated by the miniatures and decorative borders in the mediaeval books of hours that feature in many of the paintings by the Flemish Primitives.
From August 2 until August 5, you can visit "Sowing and Reaping” for free between 10:00 and 17:00.
